This week’s Foodie Friday, we made pizza from scratch!

We practiced following step by step instructions, problem solving (not everyone loves pepperoni!), and taking turns as part of a group. It was so fun to work as a team with our classmates and practice cooking skills such as measuring, counting, and mixing. This recipe was a 10/10 across the board! We’re so excited for our next Foodie Friday- what will we make next?
Ingredients (we doubled the recipe, which was a great natural opportunity for a math lesson):
1 ½ cups of self-rising flour, plus more for kneading
1 cup of plain Greek yogurt
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees
Combine the flour and Greek yogurt
We found it was easier to have the kiddos begin to mix the dough in the bowl and then transfer it to a clean countertop to knead until the flour and yogurt are thoroughly combined (add four if the dough becomes too sticky or a little bit of water if it’s too dry)
Plop your dough on a greased pan and spread it out, creating any shape!
