STEM Project: Nature Edition

August 23, 2019

Our students worked together on their very own STEM project this week. They needed to collaborate and make a plan on how to build a… BIRDS NEST. They went outside to gather the materials needed in our green belt space behind our building. They collected all kinds of natural materials like grasses, leaves, and dry brush. Then they came back inside and worked together to construct their nest with all the items they found in nature; without any help from the teachers!

This was a great social opportunity to practice everything our students have been working on: sharing, flexibility, accepting other’s ideas, and taking turns. In the end, this project helped our students think outside the box and cooperate to complete a project. Our students had a ton of fun and created am awesome bird house that they are very proud of.

TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!
